I don't know why I continue to read the comments section of this newspaper...
From an article about Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week:

http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/comments/article/20111113/GPG0101/111130614/Green-Bay-Mayor-Jim-Schmitt-Brown-County-Executive-Troy-Streckenbach-declare-Hunger-Homeless-Awareness-Week

"I hope they include complete financial statements, and not just pictures of kids looking sad."

"Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin's mobile food pantry will stop from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at East Town Mall, 2350 E. Mason St., Green Bay, to distribute bags of groceries to families in need. Prequalification is not needed
-------------------------------
Story #1: Come get free food, no questions asked.

Story #2: Hey, how come we're running low on free food?"

"you forgot

Story #3 : AFTER providing FREE Food, Clothing, Shelter, and Health Care.........Hey, How come nobody wants to work for a living?"

"Ever NOTICE how WELL FED a lot of these "Struggling" people are??? And they always have money for alcohol and cigs....Go Figure!"

And you know what, many of these same jerks were really waiting their Christianity on their sleeves in an article about governor Walker renaming the Capitol Holiday to the Capitol Christmas Tree.

:banghead: :banghead:

1. We had a commenter just today complaining about the school district giving coats to kids
He also complained about food pantry programs that give food to kids at school. Dumbshit thought his tax dollars were paying for these programs.

I pointed out that the food and coats were DONATED and handed out at school for convenience. And I asked why he had a problem with keeping kids warm and well fed. He didn't reply.

2. I don't know why you bother to read a newspaper in the first place
I'd quit taking the damn thing but my wife wants to find out who got married, got divorced, had a kid, or croaked.

Oh and we do use it as kindling.

5. Ooo, they got a bag of food! Why would they ever work again?!
Dear uncompassionate ass hats: Where are these poor people who are living high enough on the hog that they're not actually poor?

You must be stupid to think that a bag of food and a coat somehow convinces people they're set for life.

I am sorry that conservative talking heads have stunted your capacity for logic.

Good luck.

Signed,
Beartracks

7. Oh yum, the treasures of the free food box
A can of beets, stewed dandelion leaf soup, and other pantry cast offs. What a feast.
