A friendly clarification post
before I go to bed:

PENN STATE = where Joe Paterno works, where Sandusky worked, where all the awful, nightmare-inducing pedophilia took place.

PENN = the nickname of the UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA, which is a private, ivy-league school in Philadelphia. It has NO AFFILIATION WHATSOEVER with Penn State.

Please do NOT use Penn and Penn State interchangeably. Thank you.

FWIW, we have the same thing here: Washington and Washington State.
