Mark Foley, Republican-FL, was in charge of protecting 'Missing and Exploited Children'
Yet, no charges were filed against the Republican congressman who sent sexually suggestive Instant Messages to an underage male page.

In his official capacity, Foley established for himself a leadership role in protecting "Missing and Exploited Children" on Capitol Hill.

Did Foley ever work with the Second Mile organization that Jerry Sandusky founded and used to find victims?

If so, the connection may lead to unmasking some of the sickest of the sick. Foley was nationwide. It seems Sandusky was protected by officials at Penn State.

What I've failed to find in all this is anyone with real authority working to protect children.

1. Then-Sen. Rick SANTORUM, Republican-PA, sponsored an award for Jerry Sandusky
Rick Santorum Sponsored Honor for Accused PSU Coach

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Then Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum thought enough of Jerry Sandusky nine years ago to sponsor the former Penn State defense coordinator for a “Congressional Angels in Adoption” award, citing his work with a non-profit group he founded to provide care for foster children.

“Its philosophy is simple: it is easier to develop a child than to rehabilitate an adult,” read the citation in the awards dinner program from Sept. 24, 2002.

Sandusky, of course, has been charged with sexual abuse of young boys and Penn State University is under fire for its handling of reports of the coach’s suspicious behavior. The burgeoning scandal reportedly is about to force legendary head coach Joe Paterno to retire.

Santorum, a 1980 PSU graduate, is one of the school’s most distinguished alumni – a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination who represented Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate from 1995 to 2007. A social conservative and champion of adoption, Santorum is staking his candidacy on an appeal to family values.

Since the scandal broke into the news, Santorum has been circumspect in his comments about it. He has said he does not know Sandusky personally.

2. It's also very easy to permanently fuck up the mind of a Child
by abuse, either physical, mental or sexual.

6. They sure put a lot of importance in those awards, don't they?
I'm sorry, but when I see someone so obscessed with "fammily values" I get nervous. How many times have we heard family values and sexual abuse mentioned with these clowns? It's as though they are using family values as a shield against exposure of their sexual abuse problems. I mean, "who would ever suspect" type of shield.

7. That's what makes them obvious.
They shout the loudest. They wear the biggest flag pin. They're at all the right charities -- in the front row.

Instead of using their positions and authority to build a better community, they used their offices to advance their own, sick desires. And in the course of their business, their paths, at least, overlapped.

It is my belief, they were not the only people in power on that path. For the connected crony class, their passage has gone largely forgotten.

For example: Jeff Gannon sits one seat over from Cheney @ National Press Club event

What the hell is going on? Would a truly free press ignore these stories?

Fox GOP mouthpiece Neil Cavuto brought up the subject in an even uglier way than usual...

...And where is Swampy, anyway?

5. Sheez! I did not know that the documentary was supposed to air in 1994.
Thanks for the heads-up, AntiFascist. Wish the program had aired. Life today would be very different for thousands of children.

Like dots and commas and stuff I remember but don't see mentioned anymore, there are a lot of strings that never got pulled when it comes to child molestation.
