In Ohio, who outspent whom?
On another message board, a guy used Fox news as a source, (I know, big strike against the guy,) Fox claims that unions out-spent conservative pressure groups by 3-1.

Anyone know any credible (that leaves Fox out, I know,) sources for who spent the most on Ohio?

2. This may help.....
'We Are Ohio, the coalition of Democrats and major labor unions, outspent Building a Better Ohio -- the yes side -- by a more than 3-to-1 margin. They ran far more commercials, and they weren't shy about soliciting outside help to raise funds.

We Are Ohio raised more than $30 million for its campaign while Building a Better Ohio raised about $7.6 million, according to recent campaign finance reports."

5. I guess the difference is in where the money is from.
Right-wingers get their money from corporations.

6. It's no secret that whoever spends the most money wins elections.
But if it makes you feel better, you can look at their contributions reports.

The Yes campaign's were mostly filed under their own name, meaning they aren't telling where they came from, and the rest are from "Ohio 2.0, Inc." and Americans for Prosperity:

The No campaign reported mostly small donations, from individuals and union locals:

7. You spend what you raise
And if you spend more than your opponent, chances are you raised more than they did. And if you're a progressive, chances are you didn't get too much big business help, and while union donations are probably pretty sizable (not on the level of big business though), most money probably came from the 60% of the state's individuals who wanted it repealed.

There's nothing to be ashamed about.
