Five Reasons Why Ron Paul is Insane
Edited on Wed Nov-09-11 02:20 PM by Galraedia

There’s been quite a lot of hype about one Republican candidate. You can’t visit

Digg

without seeing his name. He’s raised quite a lot of money, more than any other candidate in a short amount of time. And even though his cult-like following has kept him in the race for the White House, he’s still out of his mind.

Old article, but still relevant. Personally I wish his cult-like following would just STFU.

1. Great list. He wants out of the UN (and the IMF and WTO); no income tax; back to the gold standard;
prayer in schools and opposed to aid to Darfur (a little irrelevant today, but he's probably opposed to aid to anyone anywhere - including to Americans). ;)

2. I have a friend, a devoted Howard Dean supporter,

(we even went to New Mexico to work on his primary campaign) who has totally jumped the shark. She is now convinced Ron Paul has all the answers. I tried to reason w/ her but she has completely abandoned her good sense and gone over the cliff.

Edit to add - I agree there is a cult like adoration in her allegiance.

5. #6 He does not respect women's rights.
This may not make him crazy, but any women getting pulled into the cult should know his primitive beliefs regarding women, their rolls and their reproductive rights.

6. Paul is an absolute nutcase-allow corporations to do as they please-police themselves is INSANE
Edited on Wed Nov-09-11 04:21 PM by GreenTea
allowing capitalistic greed to go unchecked. With no regulations for corporations, business and the rich to profit as much as the can and want - You tell me how insane is that - Well then who will monitor the greed, the corruption, the pollutions, the unsafety of products & job sites?....that's right no government in Pauls' world & no regulations on business, than who....the same people profiting will police themselves - No problem they won't collude, steal overcharge, exploit, gouge the consumers ---- Right?

Who is more insane the republican/libertarian (same difference) Ron Paul or the idiotic ridiculous uninformed stupid fucking assholes who support Ron Paul?

10. What's worse is that...
Paulbots and corporatists are already infiltrating and misinterpreting the OWS movement. Paulbots look for protests to co-opt to turn into Ron Paul movements. They care nothing about what the movement is about. They hold up Ron Paul 2012 signs at OWS protests and are ignorant to the fact that Ron Paul is pro-capitalism. The f#$ked up thing about it though is that Republicans blame Obama for Occupy Wall Street, yet Paulbots are the ones bringing campaign signs to the protests.

7. Those are not "reasons", those are symptoms.
The most likely reason is some early childhood trauma.

8. Yes, Ron Paul is another version of a crazy corporate republican, nothing more.
Who actually believes his bullshit?

9. I'm never sure how "crazy" a Republican candidate actually is.
Paul's only decent ideas have no chance of getting past Congress, or are otherwise obvious lies. His stances could be mostly pragmatism.

11. Those seem more like points of view that some might say were indicators, but
reasons? I don't think so.
