1. I don't have to set any clocks...
Everything is digital and synched to a server somewhere. Thanks for the heads up, though!:hi::thumbsup:

4. Its true for most of us, I think! Clock on my oven 'old-fashioned,'
not sure about microwave, but cell-phone, my 'standard,' takes care of itself.

Good thing it doesn't happen during the work week!

5. SILLY NewYawka!
And that's the reason 'they' selected early Sunday morning, I think; fewer serious problems for those who 'forget,' and a full 'off' day to figure it out.
:hi:

18. + My household. Althought hhe snarky sid eo f me woul dadd:
No you won't be asleep at 2 o'clock, because there ain't gonna be any two o'clock!

The people it helps the most are those who work the night shift at a job they hate. If they handle it right, they work a full hour less.

22. Of course there will be a 2:00 am.
It will simply be 1 hour later than it was this morning.

24. You can say that.
And I guess it could also be said that there will be two two o'clock's!

The big impact for many households is how confused the animals are around feeding time.

8. Daylight Saving Time is ridiculous anyway.
We're on an artificial time schedule for eight months.

I grew up on a dairy farm. I assure you, cows do not recognize daylight "saving" time. It just screws everything up.

10. Sums up my feelings exactly!
Edited on Sat Nov-05-11 11:42 AM by Proud Liberal Dem
We didn't have DST here in Indiana until Daniels got in office. Since then, I feel like I'm a permanent state of "jetlag" 8 months of the year but then feel "normal" again when we fall back for another 3-4 months. If we're going to change our time for 75% of the year, we might as well go ahead and just change it permanently IMHO. Geez! What (and where) are the "economic benefits" of this-that they promised us- anyway?

11. when cows start switching on and off lights that may be a valid point
for now it is meaningless

I am up by 7:00am every work day and I have the lights on getting ready for work

By allowing me to sleep another hour, the sun will be up before I wake and therefore I won't need the lights on to get ready for work

Multiply this by 150,000,000 and you get some idea of why we do this.

12. I welcome the extra hour, since I'm always running late...
But the fact that it is now going to get dark earlier is really not worth it. :(
