3. What a great sense of humor he had in his critique of everyday, common items.

He had the ability to bring those mild irritations, we often mutter about under our breath, to the surface for all to laugh at and enjoy. He certainly nailed it for me.

RIP, Andy. You've earned it, but I'd still love to hear your commentary on where that rest might be...I hope it is all praise.

6. my late father loved Andy Rooney

Dad loved Andy and could hardly wait until 60 minutes was at its end so he could hear what Andy had to say for the week. Dad was about the same age as Andy and also a fellow Irishman in the finest of standing. }(
