Federal medical marijuana patient: Cannabis worked a ‘miracle’ for me
Edited on Fri Nov-04-11 05:20 PM by DreamSmoker
Here is Fact..
This Flies in the Face of this Government and its stand against any legalization of Cannabis as it has no Medical Value..
Shows once again that Our Government is looking out for itself... Not American Citizens at all..
Reality is the Government has known all along the Medical Values and Benefits of Cannabis..
But yet for over 40 years has consistently lied to the American People on this as it continues the Arrests of American as well as claiming property and any assets..

Its about control... Both legally as well as Politically..
Is this the Real America we can be proud to die for????

The U.S. has made Cannabis Legal for medical use for just a few in all these years..
Only a couple are still alive..
The Government is still growing and providing each with a large tin full of pre rolled Joints today...

Federal medical marijuana patient: Cannabis worked a ‘miracle’ for me

LOS ANGELES — In 1988, Elvy Musikka became the first woman in the United States to be legally permitted by the federal government to smoke marijuana for medicinal purposes, due to a case of Glaucoma that threatened to render her blind.

Armed with a mountain of paperwork, a dedicated doctor and a savvy attorney, she managed to get both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to sign off on her right to access the only medicine that alleviated her symptoms, joining a tiny, exclusive group who have successfully used the legal system to gain access to medical marijuana grown by the feds.

1. This program was mentioned in an episode of Penn and Teller's, "Bullshit!"
The one about how the war on drugs is totally ineffective, I think. They featured a successful stockbroker who gets that same large tin of joints to handle his condition, bone spurs, which I guess is that his bones would keep growing until they pierced the skin. He apparently smokes his federal doobage while driving to work even.

4. Irving Rosenfeld
he says he has not developed another tumor since he started smoking - he had more than 200 at one time.

the woman featured here also noted that cannabis has not only staved off blindness from glaucoma - at least one of her eyes has IMPROVED since using it.

there aren't too many medicines that not only deal with symptoms of a disease or illness but actually help to HEAL people.

Recent research also indicates that cannabis may not just treat the symptoms of MS but halt or slow the course of the disease.

http://norml.org/news/2008/09/18/cannabis-may-halt-progression-of-multiple-sclerosis-study-says

There is no denying to any rational person that cannabis is medically useful. Inhaling a medicine is also not beyond the scope of science - asthma patients know this (oh, and for some people, ironically, inhaling cannabis can help them, too.) With a vaporizer, most particulants are removed but the immediate benefits of smoked cannabis inhalation are maintained.

In terms of medicines, doctors, etc. do cost/benefit analysis all the time. The benefit of cannabis far, far outweighs any cost from legalization of the same to individuals and to society, again, as research has demonstrated.

I'm just amazed that the feds think that they can continue to lie about the medical benefits of cannabis with a straight face.
