Watching it from the outside, its virtually impossible to tell if its truly the subdivided chaotic mess that it appears to be, or some superiority masterminded preplanned deal, screening the real candidate from the worst of public scrutiny until its absolutely unavoidable.

That's what I would want to do, if I was determined to continue trying even though I knew that all my potential nominees had massively glaringly gigantically horrible flaws that made them absolutely unsuitable to lead a small township, much less a nation, on top of feeling the need to go down unerringly supporting an absolutely corrupt policy that would ensure my soul was going to hell.

Might be easier just to rethink that whole plan, but if I was so damaged as to need to do that...

Obviously Romney will clinch the nomination. Huntsman is seen as too moderate by the foaming-at-the-mouth base, and the rest are flaming out all over the place. Romney is disciplined. He'll be the last candidate standing.
