I am sure that many people will change banks but I get the feeling that the people who care the most have already switched or avoided the corporate banks. I imagine it will be reported that there was little to no impact to the big banks and that people can/should ignore OWS and Anonymous. So, what I want to know is, what's next?

1. Decide that when it's necessary?
Doing the right thing may not result in any change; do the right thing anyway. In our society, your dollars are your votes. If you want to vote with your dollars to support a corporate bank, then do so. But be mindful that you're doing that. If you don't want to support a corporate bank, vote with your dollars by putting them somewhere else. Be mindful that that's what you're doing, as well.

3. I agree with you
But I wont be moving any money Nov 5th because I've already done this. My money is in a locally owned and operated bank that supports my theatre. So I guess what I'm saying is...I want in on what's next.

4. Stay tuned . . .
I think there will be an effect, and the big banks will feel it, if only a little bit. That's certainly more notice than they have taken of small depositors for years. The more interesting thing, to me, will be to see how it affects the small depositors. The little people (proud member in good standing here) have been told for years that they don't really matter much in the grand scheme of things. A couple of years ago, when gas prices were spiking, a lot of little people suddenly got a lot more mindful of how much they were driving. While Big Oil didn't take much of a hit due to this sudden spasm of conservation, they did notice. It was a good reminder to consumers that this whole capitalist scheme has some balance, and some of the power is in their hands.

The biggest ally for our corporate overlords is mindless consumerism. When consumers get mindful, and quit running the little consumerist maze, it hurts some of those corporate big shots. I'm game for whatever happens next.

7. OWS and Anonymous have already made a difference.
What ever happens on Nov 5 is not the defining moment of OWS. Stick around the party has just begun.
