You've encapsulated part of the problem quite precisely. Well done. See, the problem is that with unemployment stubbornly holding steady at 9% or more (and real unemployment/underemployment at about twice that percentage), that "bunch of bums" can't get jobs, because they don't exist. It seems the Republican Majority in the House, which swept into power in 2010 on the promise of creating jobs, hasn't done jack shit to make a more job-friendly environment in the United States, and their political benefactors have made a conscious decision not to do a whole lot of hiring, preferring to whine about irrelevancies in the hope that the public will blame the White House.

It's not working very well, but if you're really concerned about people being out of work, perhaps you should get out of the teevee studios and go have a little chat with your political puppets and your wealthy pals. Unless, of course, your appearance is just another cynical ploy in a year-long program of cynical ploys by the Repressive Right. But you wouldn't do that, would you Ben? Ben?
