Who owns your rep?
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 07:22 PM by Old and In the Way
I was just stumbling around on the internet and I came across this image at

<>

Now Congress will never vote to have themselves wear clothes that will allow the voter to see who owns them, but it got me to thinking...wouldn't it be cool to have a website where you plug in a rep's name and the page shows the rep with the logo's already on them...proportioned to their actual % contributions? A picture is worth a thousand words.

2. I love that idea.
The truth is that it is a good idea to go to the corporations to make our voices heard. We've been wasting our time all these years sending letters to their puppets. We should instead tell the corporations what we want our government to do. They are the ones who are really in charge.

I like your web site idea a lot. That way if I want one of my reps to do something, I can find out which corporation owns him/her and adjust accordingly. The only way to get anything done is to demand that the corporations listen to our demands. I mean, BoA dropped the debit card charge when enough people said hell no to that. Anything can happen at this point.

4. Yeah...maybe an emblem that says "generic voter".

May be pretty tiny on most of our reps, but it would tell us how small or large any particular our influence is with the voter. I'm guessing reps that have huge voter emblems will probably vote closer to what their voter wants.
