DirecTV and Fox reach agreement
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 04:39 PM by Scuba
No mention made of terms, any new charges.

From my email...

Dear Customer,

As you may have heard, DIRECTV has been in talks with News Corp./Fox about continuing to carry Fox-owned channels. We're pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached. There will be NO service interruption. All channels will remain on the air, including:

FX
National Geographic Channel
Nat Geo WILD
SPEED
FUEL TV
FOX Soccer
FOX Soccer Plus
FOX Deportes
Fox regional sports networks
Fox News channel
Fox Broadcasting (FOX)
Fox Business Network
Fox Movie Channel
Your local FOX station

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

DIRECTV

I was hoping that as a service to America, they would drop Fox News, or as it's called at the Sandcastle Water Park, Fox "News".

1. That is soooo funny! But it's a shame DirecTV couldn't side with the 99% and drop
everything Fox except local Fox (Family Guy, Simpsons) and maybe Fox Movie Channel.

2. Check out Channel 34
"FOX 'News'"

IMO it deserves more than parentheses; it deserves a fucking asterisk - at which the following may be read: "We use the term 'News' in the loosest possible sense of the word. This organization is more properly defined as a propaganda outlet for the Republican Party - a mighty Wurlitzer that plays the sweetest of music for their intellectually incurious viewers to the exclusion of anything that could be construed as truthful or having any basis in fact whatsoever."
