Poll question: Would you take $100 today or $102 tomorrow?
If I were to offer you $100 today or $102 tomorrow, which would you take?

3. $102 tomorrow, UNLESS the $100 today would save me an overdraft charge...

But what is your point?

5. $102 tomorrow...
but I'm not hungry, short on my rent today, or needing something vital before tomorrow, and if I was, I likely have enough cash to cover it.

It's easy to make "wise" economic decisions when you've already got plenty of money.

11. earlier I would have said 100 today, but
a friend loaned me money ($10) to put gas in my car, and another gave me some money ($15) for other essentials, so I can wait now. I don't work again until Wednesday, and I wasn't going to make it.

Many people would be fine wait a day for 102, but sometimes you just can't wait, even if it is a better deal.

15. I need the $100 today
But when the Nigerian receives my cashier's check, he'll wire me my lottery winnings and I can pay you back.

Okay, that was a lame joke, just killing time while you hold us in suspense over what this is really about.
