Occupy MN helped this woman avoid foreclosure!
Murman, an owner of a small animal care center, is in the middle of a foreclosure after taking a financial hit in recent years. She asked for an extension on the foreclosure of her Plymouth home, but the banks wouldn't budge on an October 31 move out date.

"We sent someone out to Ruth's house to hear her story," said Nick Espinosa, an organizer at Occupy MN. "She lives with her elderly father, she's a small business owner, we wanted to help."

The protestors wanted her story heard. They posted videos on various social networks and had others sign a petition.

"Within two hours, US Bank and GMAC were ringing my phone off the hook trying to give me the extra two weeks that we asked for in court," said Murman. "It may not seem like a big deal, but those two week will really help."

4. That actually is big
it was USBank and GMAC that's a big deal. And I know sometimes 2 weeks can make a big difference. I've had times when 2 days would have changed things in a big way. From actually making it through a bad time versus starting over.
