Betty White is now a Cougar

Everyone’s favorite Golden Girl is now an honorary Washington State University alumna.

The 89-year-old actress was given an honorary degree and a white doctors coat at the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association’s centennial gala in Yakima earlier this month, according to the Associated Press.

White has long been a donor to WSU because of a friendship with Southern California veterinarian and WSU alumnus Bob Olds. She’s also a friend of the Woodland Park Zoo.

The Associated Press reports that White donned the white coat, then “offered to spay or neuter anyone in the audience.”
