1. Oh, but see, that type will re-write the history of the Iraq War just like they did with Vietnam.
In their retelling, we WILL have kicked butt in Iraq, and they will have earned Congressional Medals of Honor there, even though the little fucking cowards never actually served.

2. I would guess not
seeing that the RW blogosphere is abuzz with remorse over the pending withdrawal from Iraq, citing the examples of Germany, Japan & Korea as places where US troops remained for decades after the wars ended.
