Barney Frank mentioned that #OWS needs to go political.
I think that it's a logical progression. Not just making itself felt at the polls, but also stepping it up in a form of economic redistribution. Adjusting the share of wealth to fairer and more just models of financial services. It's in the nascent phase now. That needs to be stepped up a lot.

I think that the protests should be classified as a recruitment phase. But once people are brought in, there needs to be a clearly demonstrate, easily applied yet comprehensive plan of action in order to achieve stated goals.

I think it's time that a manifesto for the movement is created and published.

Once the people are gathered, what should they do next?

1. I don't think a manifesto is remotely necessary.

In fact, I believe it's better if we don't give their lawyers and PR people much to work with.

Meanwhile, every damn newscast is covering #ows.

6. Exactly, frank also said that he thought that the protests unto themselves weren't doing anything...
yet, he fails to see the irony of his own words. It got him talking didn't it?

That's the point of the protests, but alas, he misses it squarely.

once upon a time, I thought frank was clued into reality. Now I think he's just another governmental functionary buffoon.

4. If he means protesting particular policies or politicians, YES, I agree.
If he means to just vote DEM, no, no they should not do that.
