The Roman coins are plentiful and the shekels are scarce. SO, THE PRICE GOES UP. DAILY.

You need the shekels for your religion tax, ahem, offering. So, you need shekels, people invest in the shekels like we invested in housing --hoarded them.

Suddenly, there is a glut of shekels and a shortage of Roman coin and your investment drops like a stone.

So, you invest in Roman coin... and the process reverses to the same end.

Until someone turns the tables over and shows what you've been hiding underneath.
