Rick Perry's wife is "blanking" Scary Insane
Edited on Fri Oct-14-11 08:49 AM by maxrandb
Something tells me that as bad as it's been for "Bush-lite", his wifes recent defense of him is "not helpful".

Just listen to this woman. She is bat-guano crazy.

http://thehill.com/video/campaign/187459-rick-perry-brutalized-by-own-party-over-faith-says-wife

Rick Perry’s wife says her husband is being “brutalized” by Democratic opponents, the media and members of his own party on account of his Christian faith.

truly felt like he was called to do this. We still feel called to do this,” Anita Perry said Thursday in a speech at North Greenville University in South Carolina, referring to the Txas governor's decision to run for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012.

Perry became tearful while recounting how her family sought spiritual guidance in the run-up the Texas governor’s announced candidacy. She said her husband was hesitant to run because he hadn’t seen a direct sign from God.

“God was already speaking to me, but didn’t want to hear it,” she said. “I said listen, you may not see the burning bush, but there are people seeing that burning bush for you. So he really took it to heart, he prayed about it.”

Reminds me of this..."you can't wield supreme executive power just because some wattery tart threw a sword at you"

21. Everything's a "sign." And all "signs" are interpreted to point to what they're going to do anyway.
I just picked up my beer can to take a sip. It was empty. I didn't think it was empty. Obviously, it was a sign from God for me to go get another beer. Who am I to disagree?

7. She's playing the base....
they love hearing all these b.s. stories. The real crazy ones are the people who buy it.

I can see her talking to Slick Rick in Private saying: "I think I locked up the 700 Club vote, what do you think?" Rick being a Bush clone will reply, "who cares; are there any beers left? The Rangers game is on tonight".

... she sees her husband as the successor of Jesus, answering God's "calling" to execute innocents and help find ever smaller camels and ever-larger needles.

11. Awesome

This is just the type of people we DONT want with their finger on the button.

I have no problem if you're religious...you can ignore science, 'speak to God' all you want, because the only one harmed is yourself, but we need rationale people in positions that can affect the entire planet. And these type of religious whacks don't fit the bill

13. If she or anyone else was publically
Edited on Fri Oct-14-11 09:18 AM by Worship Money
saying things about a being talking to her, or seeing a burning bush, or conversing with dead people, think how different she'd be treated.

The person would truly be "brutalized" by the media, opponents. They'd be mocked and any and all facade of prior credibility would be gone forever.

But because she is saying this in a religious context, well...it's just poor God-fearing Anita.

(The above doesn't necessarily apply here at DU. Rather, in the national media and in this country at large).

Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

18. She needs a completely modernized do-over.
This lady is really weird. Her hair needs an immediate super triple extra conditioning and trimming treatment YESTERDAY!, her weird ashy grayish lipstick makes her look like she is in the verge of dying,
and with all her monies, i would put myself in the hands of the very best cosmetologist for the stars and get several classes on how to dress properly and classy, from a Chanel or Prada clothing advisor ASAP.
she talks as if she is suffering the heck out of all of this drama, from what I read, looks like she has had a rough relationship with the cowboy, she looks like a very sad lady.

person, IMO. I wonder if she is clinically depressed. I think I found one pic of her smiling for a portrait. She seems to look sad or have a flat affect in other photos I've seen of her.

You gotta wonder.

30. Yes, I liked that article, but listen.....
If she is wearing all those "expensive"; clothes, purses, cosmetics, etc, i tell you, they are
making her look worse, I don't see anything expensive about that lady, she looks so old fashioned, like a
60s polyester suit lady, you know what I mean, jajaja, anyway, she does look very sad, I would too if I was married to that crap of a husband she has, I don't know what's with these rightbangers, most of them have these weird sounding voices, specially the Palin nutjob, her voice scares the hell out of my parrot, in fact, my darling parrot sounds 100 times better than her, jajajaja

27. Since the f*ck when has being a Christian stood in someone's way of achieving office?
Has there ever been one president of this country, EVER, that didn't at least pay lip service to Skydaddy? I mean damn, I'd absolutely LOVE it if participation in that bronze-age death cult made people back away slowly (or run away quickly) from a potential candidate. As it stands though, anyone who would be so foolish as to espouse rationalism and reason could never even get near a primary, much less the office itself.

What rock does she live under?

Never heard of Richard Nixon or Joe McCarthy and the people they destroyed?

And how's that working out with the former Secretary of state? I think they threatened her when she allegedly caught Rick in bed with the male Secretary of State. You talk and you die, I believe, is what TPTB did.

The Perrys are moving on to their next strategy - blame the victims. Nothing is working for the handlers, so they have moved on to the next act.
