And they cut the feed (again to their credit the person asking the questions did ask if they were recording, they said no, and cut it). Would've liked to hear that conversation.

4. Those who live in the various levels of the elite in this country (including those in the media)

have such cozy lives far removed from the realities most people deal with, it isn't surprising they have no clue what all this is about.

I remember a few years ago before the crash watching the CBS morning show and they were all marveling that some people actually pack and bring their lunches every day to work. Isn't that darndest thing, they seemed to saying, as if it was some kind of quaint novelty that oddballs do. You mean, not everyone eats out?

I've been packing and bringing a lunch to work for years, one: because I eat healthier that way, but two: it's a lot cheaper than eating out every day.

6. The media strives on conflict, hell, even we do a lot of the time.

But in the end the media wouldn't be covering this if another terrorist attack happened or if a bad disaster happened, it'd be the last thing they gave a shit about (as opposed to the Tea Party movement which they covered to create conflict, because they knew that Obama was largely unopposed and if they didn't create conflict politically then there would be nothing to report).

OWS is in stark contrast to this because it is itself a movement that the media will not be able to ignore, as long as they keep at it, and they've past way beyond a point where it can be neutered or silenced. And because OWS is a purely grassroots movement with all stripes, it will be extremely difficult to coopt.
