Snooping in the National Archives and what do I find?

I found this odd document. Scrawled on paper after Reagan was shot by Poppy Bush. Is it just me or does it look like he was getting ready to assume the position? I guess this was before Alexander Haig took over? Not exactly the "gettysburg address" is it? Notice how he has to call Babs before anything else on his to-do list?

Strange find, no?

I just thought it was an interesting historical note, nothing more. Even if it is Poppy Bush of the Bush crime family writing it. I imagine he was on his way to take over in case Reagan died and had to jot down a quick sincere sounding speech.

Of course, he IS Poppy Bush. He has a knack for being in the right place at the wrong time.

Looks like he was expecting to make a speech. Interesting that he wants to make sure he flies to the Naval Observatory and not the South Lawn of the WH.

7. I disklike Pappy Bush as much as the next progressive

if not more. I was in the military while he was CiC and some of his policies really fucked with my days and nights. That said, I would expect the VP to prepare for all contingencies if an assassination attempt were made on the sitting President. I don't really understand nor can I decipher everything here, but I'd say he was making the kind of notes a VP might make in the situation.

Even if his business partner's son was the triggerman.

He is praying for RR's recovery and considers him a friend, not just CiC, but "decent, warm, kind".

He also seems to have jotted down the times he got updates. It doesn't necessarily look like a plan to assume power, IMO. At the time he wrote this, reagan was still in surgery and he probably had a million and one things coming at him.

and mulitiple-Bush family acquaintances / Hinkleys shot Reagan and has been a psychiatric prisoner is sort of blatant.

Reagan was mean spirited and demonized and attacked as an elected pol Executive then world-renowned progressive and scientific institutions such as UC Berkeley and the US Forest Service in USDA that were crown jewels inherited on election. Reagan made a joke of USDI policy under Watt and in general intentionally broke the most effective federal programs and allowed special interests to steal from the public commons.

Reagan was never in any control of his senses after the shooting in my perception. His "staff" ignored laws and Congress. Prosecution of Iran-Contra and BCCI would have prevented the subsequent trajectory of war and globalist financial fraud.

My Dad was a over-aged WWII volunteer European vet that loved FDR but also was a Reagan Democrat, he never understood the inconsistency.

Not saying he didn't, but that wasn't why I posted. I was in some ways comparing Obama's speech and this one Bush was writing just in case he needed it...also the "gettysburg address" that Lincoln wrote. Could include the video of GWB in the Florida classroom if you like. Just an interesting memo.
