Fox’s Chris Wallace: 99 Percent Movement Is Getting More Coverage ‘Than It Deserves From The Mainstream Media’

| Almost from its inception as a fringe anti-tax movement, Fox News nurtured the Tea Party into a major political force — posting the dates and times of Tea Party rallies on its website, promoting events during their regular programming and even allowing one of its hosts to hold a “non-political” political rally of Tea Party supporters. Now that a similar movement is emerging that represents the 99 percent of Americans who do not benefit from far-right economic policy, however, Fox is singing a different tune. During today’s Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace suggested that the 99 Percent Movement is getting more coverage “than it deserves.” Watch it:

1. Wallace is not a journalist, he's a propagandist.
This is exactly what I would expect from him...

5. Wallace is a legacy journalist. If not for his father, he would just be another
worker drone in the 99%.

He is a 1%er and his views are as expected.

Noose or guillotine, Chris?

6. And Wallace is getting more money than he deserves to spout bullshit.

Of course, if they paid him in spare change and a half-eaten Hot Pocket, that would still be true...

10. Wallace's only claim to being a 'journalist' is that he rode in on
the shoulders of his father, who I would imagine is mortified to see the putz his son has become. Fox deserves him, and he deserves Fox. Nothing he says should be taken seriously.

11. OWS isn't going anywhere. It reflects the public's anger and turd's like Wallace can't silence it.
The media can't silence it at this point.

13. CNN and Fox once embedded reporters with tea party
Edited on Sun Oct-09-11 01:38 PM by ProSense
Slate, 2010: CNN and the Tea Party Express: The Greatest Romance of Our Time

If you're surprised that CNN will co-sponsor a Republican presidential primary debate with the Tea Party Express, you're not paying attention. CNN played an early and vital role in legitimizing the Tea Party Express when it was seen by Tea Party Patriots and some other groups as a partisan effort to capitalize on the grassroots movement. Amy Kremer, president of the TPE, used to be a board member of TPP, but was dismissed from that group over her increasing role in Express events.

But in March and April 2010, CNN embedded with the Tea Party express on its second national tour, the one that Sarah Palin joined for speeches in Searchlight, NV and Boston. CNN's Shannon Travis even wrote a widely-circulated rebuttal to the idea that the movement was racist. (Travis is black.)

14. One simple question for you Chris ...

Nothing complicated about it at all. A big time journalist like you should be able to handle it quite easily.

How much time did Faux Snooze devote to covering Murdoch's phone hacking scandal?

(crickets)
