1. It would be fun to see one of these towers toppling over
Of course, that would be wrong. Still, it would be fun to see it happen, if it were to happen,

7. F Troop
Every time someone tried to fire the cannon, it would fail to go off.

Then someone else (usually Cpl Agarn), would kick it, one of the wheels would fall off, the cannon would fire striking one of the guard towers... which would fall to the ground while the person manning it would jump out of it.

3. I wonder how many WSers realize...
... that many of the people in OWS are hungry and unemployed due
to their (Wall Street's) greed and criminality, and at the demo's they
find food and companionship.

You can't beat down people once they find their common humanity
en masse.

9. The tower in the first picture reminds me very much of the towers
that Eastern European countries like Czechoslovakia and Hungary used to place on their borders -- to keep people in? or out?

How ironic. We supposedly "won" the Cold War, but sometimes I wonder whether, in fact, we have lost or are losing the war against repression and totalitarianism. We seem to be picking up where the repressive governments that were under the Soviet umbrella left off.
