Occupy Berkeley is starting up - photos
So they are a little late to the party but better late than never! One of the city council members was there (GA)and said that we could camp on the lawn in front of city hall. It's about a block away from the main banking area (where we were today) and two blocks from UC Berkeley. It should be starting up this evening or sometime this week.

We were next to BofA and their security and the guy in the suit were watching the whole time.

2. I walk by that BofA every morning to get on the UC campus shuttle
BART is across the street from it. Homeless people sleep there because there are a lot of benches. It's also a major public bus starting point. When I get there there's usually five or six buses parked there and the traffic is pretty heavy.

It's on Center and Shattuck.

3. yep! and that's why many were saying that we shoudn't
occupy there. We don't want to be intrusive to people commuting and we don't want to take anything away from the homeless. Although there were a few members of the homeless community there and they were very excited and welcoming (and vice versa). If we go to the lawn at city hall, they can join us there if they'd like. There may be some daytime protests at that spot since there are a few banks right at that intersection.

every morning right through there to get to campus. I'll probably stop by sometime this week.
