Hey Glenn, "The People are the Masters of their Constitution"
Edited on Sat Jan-15-11 03:29 PM by denem
You've heard of the guy who said that right? You know, one of those faces on Mount Rushmore?

Why do you so hate "The Progressive Movement'" Glenn?
Is it their principles?

That "The people are the masters of their Constitution"

That The people must "safeguard it from those who ... would convert it into an instrument of injustice"

That "The people must use their sovereign powers to establish and maintain equal opportunity and industrial justice"

That "This country belongs to the people who inhabit it"

That "Political parties exist ... to execute the will of the people"

That "The public welfare (takes) first place"

Or perhaps some of their policies: -

=A National Health Service to include all existing government medical agencies.
=Social insurance, to provide for the elderly, the unemployed, and the disabled.
=An inheritance tax.
=A progressive Federal income tax.
=Strict limits and disclosure requirements on political campaign contributions.

Nah, it's something else. You're right, most people don't understand Progressivism.
IT IS

In your words, 'a Radical-Moaist-Marxist-Revoltionay-Parasitic-Putsch',
in TR's "The first task of the Statesmanship"

"To Destroy" ... "An invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people" ..." to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics"

You're right. Progressives really are THE ENEMY because your Boss is part of that not-so-invisible Government, isn't he?,

The problem is, Progressives go back, way back before the 26th President of the United States. We still remember the words of another of those faces on Mount Rushmore., you know, that Far Left tract about "Government of the People, by the People, for the People".

(Other than the Gettysburg Address, all quotes are Theodore Roosevelt / Progressive Party Platform, 1912)
