1. Good luck with that
This President figures he got to the White House by spurning public financing, and even though he's smart enough to know that the little people won't be digging as deep into their pockets this time around, he's managed to successfully replace them with the big money donors.

Public financing of campaigns has never looked less likely at any time in my life as it does right now.

4. Too bad you're completely wrong. In fact, it's the opposite.
Obama has MORE small donors so far than he did in 2008.

13. That's only when you compare
September 2007 Obama with September 2011 Obama. At this point four years ago, it was doubted by many that he could even get the nomination.

When we compare the June 2012 Obama fundraising small donations with the June 2008 ones, we'll see what's really up.

5. Obama can not be blamed for the citizens united decision
That's all on the RW supreme court. At this point Democrats can only do their best to compete. If we want to do that we should make the corporate donations unnecessary. Small donations and volunteering on the ground is one way to push our agenda.

3. Done -- I think if we get the word out we'll get enough signatures because
who could argue with this? Keep posting this link, and let people know the topic:

Work to enact public financing of elections. With big money out of politics the citizens will once again be represented.

7. Yes, I do. It's my understanding that the $3 pp donation helps mitigate the need for Big Money.

9. Good, yes, that is what it does. It doesn't take more out of taxes, and helps
I only recently discovered all that.

11. Unfortunately, even if every taxpayer were to check the box, they'd still be begging for corporate $
The only way I see to get Big Money out of Washington is to legislate it out.

Thanks for your feedback.
