Demonstrators Affiliated With The OWS Movement Wave To Supporters As They Wait To Be Arrested - pic

NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 01: Demonstrators affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement wave to supporters as they wait to be arrested after they attempted to cross the Brooklyn Bridge on the motorway on October 1, 2011 in New York City. This portion of the bridge is not intended for pedestrians and as the marchers attempted to cross, they were stopped midway by police.

2. And as soon as they get out they'll be back
I love it. I love to see so many young faces. They're our future and they're not taking it lying down. It makes me very proud.

3. Police were there WAITING.
It may sound fluffy, but I scanned the crowd in the picture to see if I knew anyone.

At some level, I realize that I know each and every one of them.

4. No the police were not just waiting. They were directing the people to get in the street.

5. There were 50 or so officers in the middle of the bridge. They didn't come rushing
up from behind.
