I love the fact that we don't march in lock-step and have the audacity to question authority. Yes, there are some things that bother me about the drone attack in Yemen that killed a critically important and prominent Al Quaida operative. We are right to ask questions, but it is wrong to suggest, or imply that the guy was just minding his own business walking down the street on his way home from the 7/11, AND OUR COUNTRY MURDERED HIM. We have to use some common sense and examine "reality". This man was a "capo" in the worst terrorist organization in the world, and has stated his main goal was to kill as many Americans as he could. Ask some questions? Sure. Have anything close to remourse or sympathy...No!
Which brings me to what I hate about being a Democrat. A Democratic President has succeeded in taking out two of the most dangerous enemies of America we have known, and he did it without invading a country that didn't attack us, or losing a single American life in these operations. In other words...he did exactly what he promised to do during the campaign "take the fight to those who attacked us, but do it in a smart way". Were it not for the criticism from some Democrats, this President would be at 80% approval, and we'd be talking about a landslide 2012 election, just based on his foreign policy success alone. So what do we do? Instead of pointing out the obvious..."that this man is 100 times the Commander-in-Chief Shrub was, and has "actually" made us safer and decimated Al Quadi" we devote our time to questioning whether we should have taken out a man who plotted to kill as many innocent Americans that he could.
It must be so easy to be a Repuke. They know that their attacks on President Obama will be amplified by attacks from his own party. It's a wonder we win any elections.
