NYPD Going To Pepper-Spray THESE Protesters?

Something's happening here

by digby

I wonder if the white shirts are going to spray these guys in the face with pepper spray?

Photo by Dan Nguyen @ New York City

Evidently 500 of these guys showed up to protest on Wall Street today. (Tuesday; Are they still there? - HS) They've been getting screwed on their pensions for years and these mergers are killing them.

This is the first sign of a real middle class revolt.

By the way, a vast number of these airline pilots are veterans.

I still have not figured out how to post pictures on DU..."idjiot" that's me

People have tried to explain how to put a picture on a DU
post, but it's all greek to me.

Thank goodness for people like YOU!

25. In order to post an image on DU...
...that image must be on the web. You can't upload it straight from your hard drive to DU.

There are numerous image hosting sites out there like Flickr, Imageshack, Photobucket, etc. You sign up for an account, upload the image from your hard drive, copy the image address (URL) and paste it in your DU post.

Thank you!

I've never used any of those sites, but have enjoyed photos posted
by other people on them, so maybe it's time I tried it out.
Can't be THAT hard- even for someone like me. LOL

41. Find a picture, right click, copy "copy image location" and paste that in the
box that I am writing in right now. Then click preview to see if it came out right. It should work with most pictures on the web.

2. I remember hearing the pilot
who landed that plane in the Hudson talk about that in an interview. Sully was his name.

I hope this was getting some MSM coverage. 10 teabaggers with misspelled signs would get hours of coverage all the while being praised for their courage and fortitude.

26. The photo they're using on the "pilot worth" posters is Sully's plane on the Hudson.
I have great admiration for Sullenberger for using his fame as a way to get his union's concerns heard.
He was near retirement and it wasn't to make a difference for himself.

Very powerful image- and no, I don't think

28. Just wait until the TEACHERS join them... heh-heh!
Can you imagine it?
All the teachers in NY walking off their jobs
to join the protest?

What a day that would be.
TPTB would be frantically calling the
private mercs to come and help guard their "stuff."

Bwahahah!

I don't think the MSM could ignore an event of that magnitude.
Hell, the students and parents would probably join them too!

31. this is getting more interesting. now, lets remember back to riots in brittian and comments on du
about how worthwhile that mess of thuggery was. those promoting it and excusing the criminal behavior. lets look at our youth. they held. they stayed. they were small. and they were abused. and they endured.... and now

lets see what they create.

i am liking this.

along with the 100 cops

40. What an amazing sight! When the firefighters showed up
in Madison in full regalia, it had the same visual impact. The police joined us too, wearing their jackets with "Police" on the back, but the firefighters had their helmets on and the whole shebang. On at least one day the bagpipers came in full regalia (from the police I believe).

I truly believe the movement has officially started. I could kiss every one of those brave people in NYC!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. When it comes to Madison again en force, I'll be out there.
