"Occupy Wall Street" is growing...OCCUPY TOGETHER!!
"Occupy Wall Street" is growing!!!They've got a website that shows events by areas of the country/world. Cool posters too.

Welcome to OCCUPY TOGETHER, a hub for all of the events springing up across the country in solidarity with Occupy Wall St. As we have followed the news on facebook, twitter, and the various live feeds across the internet, we felt compelled to build a site that would help spread the word as more protests organize across the country. We hope to provide people with information about events that are organizing, ongoing, and building across the U.S. as we, the 99%, take action against the greed and corruption of the 1%.

We will try our best to provide you with the most accurate information possible. However, we are just a few volunteers and errors are bound to occur. Please be patient as we get this site off the ground and populated and please contact us if you have any info on new events, corrections, or suggestions for this site. You can contact us at infooccupytogetherorg.

We will only grow stronger in our solidarity and we will be heard, not just in New York, but in echoes across this nation.

13. you know, i've had a weird feeling about what's going on in the world lately.
Edited on Thu Sep-29-11 03:05 AM by DrunkenBoat
i've had the thought that the global austerity program is actually designed to create unrest & social breakdown so that the ptb can use it as an excuse to remake the world -- boundaries, laws, economic order -- in whatever the next shape is they have in the works.

after seeing a bunch of bigshots talking about how we need a global currency...

i didn't use to believe in that "new world order" stuff much, because borders are so useful for the ptb -- in containing populations, in playing them against each other -- but then i started thinking, now that they've got the global surveillance state -- all these spy programs like facebook, cctv cameras, onstar, computer banking, tracking at grocery stores, gas stations -- and a global data base -- borders become less important to their control. they can play us off by class, race, gender...

i see all these internaitonal service companies lining up to run things across borders -- schools, prisons, government services, energy, military....

if you start thinking too much....you start thinking orwell was soo prescient...

16. Thanks for the link but it's broken
Edited on Thu Sep-29-11 12:12 PM by zacherystaylor
I tried to use your link and it wasn't working; so I tried googleing it and found that the main page was working:

http://occupytogether.org

Also I came up with a few creative suggestions of my own about how people could help spread the word while the Mass Media is trying to provide no more coverage than they have to. When they do cover it they attempt to make it seem smaller than it is; or in some cases they may attempt to unfairly discredit the protesters and glorify the corporations, which seems pathetic to rational people.

Now I can't get either of them; presumably either their server is having a problem or mine one of them worked before and I was able to read it; I'll keep the link and worry about it later.

27. We need a permanent link from DU to Occupy Together,
The people who are protesting have gotten out from behind their computer screens and are doing something rather then typing on a key board. I plan to find a way to get to New York or find a place near by to Occupy and you should to.

Voting for change is like fucking for virginity!

Is this the beginning of a real citizen's uprising in America, as opposed to all the fake corporate sponsored "demonstrations" held by the Tea Party and heavily covered by the corporate media?
