Limbaugh tells listeners that liberals may PAY the next crazed gunman...
Edited on Fri Jan-14-11 02:54 PM by Vinnie From Indy
...so they can blame and then persecute conservatives.

Limbaugh was talking with a caller and informed his audience that if there is another horrific rampage like the one in AZ AND the perpetrator is a known right-winger that the incident could have been staged by the left to blame on conservatives and then persecute them. HE flat out offered that liberals may PAY someone to commit an act like the AZ shootings solely to blame conservatives. In short, he is telling his listeners that any future acts of violence by known right-wingers will probably be a conspiracy cooked up by liberals to attack conservatives.

Is it time to take Limbaugh off Armed Forces Networks yet? I think so!

2. It was time ten years ago.
However, I wonder if there is any law to have him committed for psychiatric evaluation? He needs to be taken off the air and his dumbheads need to know it's because he's mentally ill and a drug addict.

3. Since the normal person would never come up with that scenario...
...perhaps he, or his RW followers, have done this in the past and it's a normal solution.

What an incredible statement to make.

20. Reminds me of that "Are you a psychopath?" question
There are three sisters and one dies. The remaining two go to the funeral and one of them meets the man of her dreams. The next day she kills her other sister. Why did she kill her?

To meet up with the man of her dreams again (at the funeral)

32. This is actually a pretty common delusion among RWers
at least the ones I'm related to. Remember the people who shouted vile things at Sarah Palin's rallies in 2008? They were all liberal plants. Liberals make up all the signs that promote violence and attend teabagger events to make conservatives look bad (and they make the misspelled and idiotic ones, too.) And so on. Furthermore, if a conservative does a bad thing, it's only because liberals made him do it somehow.

I think that most of Rush's listeners won't laugh at this loony paranoid idea of his. They'll believe it fervently, because it fits in neatly with what they already believe.

7. conspiracy theorists who end up "losing it" and killing people are created
by other conspiracy theorists. limbaugh and beck are constantly trying to "connect the dots" for the lunatic fringe.

this is just one more piece of his sick and twisted conspiracy theory about democrats.

in my opinion, the man should be given a mental health test. he is literally trying to incite violence through his program.

14. So he's saying that he thinks there will be another shooting by a RWer.
Noted. (That he thinks so and admits it already. Not that I would be surprised either of course.)

As to the setup angle... I was thinking last night that the RW really had to push for an incident like this in order to force at least talk of gun control - because the RW already told people that Obama is going to take away their guns and several murders of police officers have already happened over that very reason.

If Obama never says anything about taking away guns, then those murders were over a fiction. That doesn't look too good for the hate talkers who promoted it, does it. But then, I guess that wouldn't even occur to a large percentage of hate media's audience. But some of the smarter ones might notice.

Personally, I hope the President doesn't bring up changes to gun laws, but lets other do it for that very reason - I think it's a RW setup for him to do so. And that's also why I don't think this incitement of hate will let up either. The RW has backed itself into a corner with the murders it has already incited.

23. I believe this proves our point.
Limbaugh knows the right wing rhetoric is partially responsible for these violent acts, and knows that the right wing is more likely to commit these acts, so he's trying to create an excuse for the next attack now. If he had confidence that such an act was unlikely, he wouldn't be going down this path.
