Now that the weather is turning cold, arctic cold, as it started to this past weekend...
and it appears as if it will edge into next week with no real end in sight…

I Have become what is essentially a prisoner in my own home.

Granted, a 42” flat screen TV hooked up to the AT&T Uverse with its hundreds of channels of diversion just a click away makes it a little easier to deal with as does the lightning fast internet access that comes with it, but still, at the end of the day, I can’t really go out in this kind of brutal, winter weather, north coast style; I can’t go out and mingle with humanity.

Looking at the long-term predictions, I see temperatures only reaching toward the mid twenties with a 30 lurking at the far end of the ten-day projections to give us any hope at all.

So, it looks like I will be a shut in for the better part of the month of January.

2. Well, the down side is that there are a lot of germs going around in the winter
so because of my weakened immune system, I can't really have a lot of people around me...

kind of like the boy in the bubble at this time of the year...

7. Please don't take this as being snarky, but I think if you read the blog you
will understand that I am pretty much trapped in my home because of my condition. At least during the very cold weather...

I know how frustrating it can be to be cooped up inside all day. Hopefully it will get warmer soon.

8. Well You could get a bird feeder and help the little guys out.
It does tend to bring the outside in. I watch mine from my desk window. It brings hours of enjoyment. When it gets extra cold I put out apples and nuts for the squirrels and raccoons. Are you kinda rural?

Particularly with the red dot.
We are having 80 degrees here this weekend. Nice after it has been so horribly cold this winter.

11. We just came off a 10 day or so span of single digits
during the nights and teens and twenties during the day. One thing about it I got a lot done here in the house during that time.
Crown molding and painting in our computer room. A little work in the shop but not much there though. I got to work on some plans for my next project too.
I'll be so happy when spring and summer get here, this cold is wearing me out. I have raynaulds so it makes for misery when I get out into the cold.
