KFYI and talked to the program director. I know from having done radio that the station can't do anything about his content, so I asked that KFYI show the ethical standing to come out and make a statement that such a statement was not endorsed by the station. I told the person that since we are in Arizona where the horror occurred, that it was important that KFYI step out and let it be known it doesn't endorse this at all. He is suppose to review the show and will call me back next week with an answer.

it was yet another classless, Frat-Boy-Mentality display from a man who really never left his parents' basement.






One admission: I used to camp out with hundreds of musicians in the North Georgia woods on the weekend closest to every 4th of July. Invariably, the local law enforcement would show up a few times, often on Saturday night, when there would always be band after band on stage jamming out (generator powered sound system.)

They knew the landowner and always came in peace, hung out and watched the show a bit, chatted with the owners, and were on their way.

They never harrassed or searched anyone, and smoke burned profusely....:)

If they showed up when we had an acoustic guitar circle going, we always did them the honor of singing "I Shot The Sheriff." If you were the band onstage and noticed them, your band would sometimes break out in the song.

They loved it, and got their feelings hurt the times we didn't play it upon their arrival.

It was a fun ice-breaker for all of us, because we were all a bunch of hippies, none packing heat at that event, and we were glad they had that sense of humor.

So I have always known and played that song.

And last night I was thinking up something to play and that song popped in my head.

But I couldn't play it.

Even in the privacy of my own home.
