In that case, the guy was diagnosed Bi-Polar, was an ex-con, and ranted about the same kind of general "anti-governement" type stuff as the Tucson shooter.

They are not promoting guns as the Constitution intended - as self defense. They promote guns as a way to solve problems, especially when the government isn't doing what you want them to do, use your gun to instigate change.

3. That is a very good point. They are promoting guns as a means to

overthrow government or any authority they do not like. That changes the picture entirely. Hunting, self defense, target practice, collecting. These are all reasons we used to give for having guns. Only those who are plotting the overthrow of a government or a crime are using this new reasoning.
