There are currently 19 antiwar and solidarity activists being targeted by the FBI. We see the raids and subpoenas as an attack on antiwar and other progressive movements. It is an attack on our freedom to speak, our freedom to assemble with like-minded people, and our freedom to tell the government that their actions and policies are wrong.
Students For A Democratic Society (SDS) is a student led, multi-issue organization that is currently being targeted by the FBI. On September 24th, 2010, several members' homes were raided as part of this investigation. Furthermore, suppressing those who speak out against government policy is an attack against education and learning more about US foreign affairs. As students, we find this unacceptable.
Join Wright College SDS, UIC SDS, Columbia Art Activists, and other students and supporters across the Chicago area as we deliver our own subpoena to US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who is currently heading this witch hunt, for his violations of civil liberties!
