Herman Cain exploring 2012 presidential run
http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/01/13/herman.cain/index.html?hpt=C1

<snip>
Herman Cain is a conservative African-American Republican who's a radio talk show host based in Atlanta. He might be the first to announce that he's running for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination.
<snip>

I'm sure he'll be just as successful as Alan Keyes, another African-American conservative talk-show host who ran for president in 2008.

1. With the racism that's been shown in this country over the past two years,
I don't think a Black Republican will become a presidential candidate for a long time.

3. Hmmm, I live near Atlanta & I never heard of him! Of course I don't
listen top conserv.radio, but I have heard of Boortz & Limpballs. I doubt this Cain character is going to be very successful.

5. I Believe Rosanne Barr already announced
so technically he wouldn't be the first

I know, I know, but is her chance really any smaller than an African American Republican?

6. Charles Manson would have a better chance than an African-American Rethug
Unless that rethug is Colin Powell. Then Powell nudges Manson by a few percentage points.

8. Cain isn't a total nutcase like Keyes.
But he is a loud-mouthed blowhard with his head up his ass. I've heard him a few times on WSB radio in Atlanta. He has his own show at night, and occasionally subs for the noxious bloviator Neal Boortz in the mornings. The audience for these shows consists primarily of a) right-wing morans who've already got the Kool-Aid running in their veins; and b) unfortunate victims who were just looking for a traffic or weather update and stumbled on an audio cesspool of standard pseudo-Libertarian piffle.

Cain has money and connections, as well as business experience, but he's never held any kind of public office. A run for president, although doomed from the start, would give him national exposure and a shot at a high-paying job as a TV blowhard. I'm sure that's what this is really all about.

10. All I could think of was an aging rapper with low batteries,
first time I heard him.

His diction is pathetic.

9. One speech and he'd be done.
He'd never get to first base.
