If You Have Never Seen A Shooting....... Be Thankful

When I was 17YO I was at the local state fair. After 7 hours my parents,best friend an myself returned to the car to head home. While waiting for the car to warm up we witnessed a police car pull up to a Dr office where two individuals were attempting to break in. When the police asked them to stop they ran towards their car got inside and attempted to drive away when one officer was able to get the drivers door open and pulled the driver out on to the pavement....at that same time the passenger reached in the glove box pulled out a gun and took a shot one of the police officers hitting them in the shoulder the other returned fire while the driver attempted flee on foot...the passenger was hit in the leg and fired another shot hitting the officer in the leg and then took two more shots one of the rounds came within 10 feet of our car and the other hitting a car 30 feet away from me....fatally the officer returned fire hitting the passenger in the chest and stomach killing him instantly....from our point of view you could see the deceased body change color as if the life was vacating the body...it was a freaky sight to see one I can still see if I close my eyes and think back to that night......


.......The driver was shot twice fleeing and was in critical condition... I could not imagine being in the Safeway parking lot in Tucson..

There are a thousand variations, but the most common is the bullets pass into or through the person being shot. Rarely does a body fly through the air after being shot as portrayed in most Hollywood films.

I hate that people are so nonchalant about their kids and teens watching hours and hours of violent entertainment (I use that term loosely,) without understanding the REAL consequences of violence.
