Christie says Palin needs to let loose
By: CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/01/13/christie-says-palin-needs-to-let-loose/

Christie, who has never expressed particular affection for the former Alaska governor, says Palin needs to engage with the media and voters in settings less staged than those she currently utilizes.

“You have to look at it and see, what are they like when they’re tested, what are they like when they’re not scripted, what are they like when they’re pushed,” Christie told the New York Times Wednesday. He added the former vice presidential nominee “rightfully has been criticized” for her refusal to go less scripted.

Christie - whose no-nonsense and tough-guy governing style has won the hearts of many Republicans - has a communication strategy that differs markedly from that of Palin, often venturing into hostile territories and combating with critics.

“I would contend to you that if Governor Palin never does any of those things, she’ll never be president, because people in America won’t countenance that. They just won’t,” Christie added.

1. He's got a valid point. That video was so horribly staged it was naseating
Like she was auditioning to be President or something.

She would have come across so much nicer if she just said a few words and walked away.

She was trying to conjour FDR (a democrat who created socialist programs) with her 'fireside chat look'. Do you think we're going to like her more because she sat near a fireplace and an American flag. Does she think we think she's now more presidential.

ugh

4. Her "base" thinks she's now more presidential.
Holy crap, the "We need you to run now more than EVER" posts on her Facebook page are waist-deep.

11. K&R...That would be the only time she would be worth watching, but it will never
happen. She is making too much money being controlled.

FWIW, Christie is probably trying to get Palin to run in 2012 because he knows the republican candidate is highly likely to lose big to Obama.
He will probably try a run in 2016, although his supporters want him to declare now for '12.

Just imagine Christie as our President...

12. I saw a silly mashup of Palin's "breathing" from the video today..
yeah. it was stupid. But.. if you really look at her eyes, and her expressions, without hearing the words, you can see that there is something really missing in there. I truly believe that she and Todd feel that she is somehow truly more important, more significant, and more popular, than she really is. Just because someone is famous, doesn't mean that there isn't something wrong with them.

16. She's about as important as Kate Gosselin.
She got the political candidate/reality star career path backwards. The fact that millions of people WITH A VOTE think she can do no wrong is a sad, sad comment on the state of affairs in this country.

19. Christie is right in this case
She needs to "let it loose" and have a four-alarm public "meltdown" that will thoroughly destroy any credibility whatsoever that she (amazingly) still has left with both the corporate media and her teabagger cult.

it's early and I have a headache but is that a correct use of the word?

Tony Soprano giving tips to Mary Tyler Moore is rather rich though
