Top 250 Delinquent Taxpayers

...

As part of our collection process to reduce the tax gap, we annually post this list of Delinquent Taxpayers. The list shows the top 250 individual and business taxpayers with state income tax liens where the total balance owed is greater than $100,000. If you have information that can lead to the collection of debt from the delinquent taxpayers on the list please contact us immediately.

Halsey M. and Shannon Minor San Francisco, CA 94105 $13,120,479.39 Personal income tax lien filed 07/21/2009

(249 more names follow)

Some of the tax liens go as far back as 1998. I don't get it. Halsey Minor is the founder of CNET and a real jerk if there ever was one.
How do these billionaires get away with this while little people are hounded to death? The total amount the top 250 tax dodgers in CA owe the state is $131,480,282.33.

I owed a small amount I couldn't pay one year and California State made my life total hell.

1. Little people get hounded for small amounts because we
can't afford to pay a good tax lawyers the thousands of dollars needed to make the IRS think twice, thrice, four times about making a stink.

2. Seeing those astronomical figures and the impunity with which
people like Minor parade their maids, nannies, cars, furs, pained my soul.

I wonder how much the top 250 tax dodgers in all states combined owe the IRS.
