Literally laughing out loud at the Freeper angst!
Edited on Thu Jan-13-11 08:40 PM by K8-EEE
They can't really process over there that everyone except them thinks Sarah's speech TANKED and that even the Fox News tools were praising Obama last night!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2656544/posts

INCOHERENT RAMBLE-ATHON! Watch out, their freep-blood currently "even beyond a 100 degree reading...." OH THE DRAMA!

"You don't know how boiling my blood is right now, but if I were to take a temperature reading right now it would probably be beyond a 100 degree reading. The reasons? Well could it be perhaps that Gov. Palin is caught up in all this liberal rhetoric and receiving death threats, or perhaps that Obama is trying to make himself look good ahead of the 2012 elections by being a sell out again to a so-called memorial which was none of the such because Lord knowing that's all he's good at doing (God rest the people souls who died during that tragic event btw), or it could be just that I heard on the radio BEFORE the Tucson event unfolded that Democrats were hoping for an OKC event to try and bring Obama to the light of the people?

Now given the above choices, I think they all fall suit as to how liberal MSM media is now daily trying to unfurl this onto Palin just in plain general when in fact the nutjob who did this had nothing to do with Palin, but to Gifford's doings. Sickening as it is, the liberal elite is pursuing their wet dreams by posting superfluous comments on the New York Times how Palin's speech prior to Obama's wasn't good enough and how she was "trying" to look Presidential with American flags behind her....."

1. Sarah needs to tell the FBI about the death threats
IF she's not making them up...

3. Too busy calling CBS and other media outlets
If the twitter threats are real she needs to call the FBI. So far the reports I've seen don't say that she has called the FBI

9. Has she even mentioned death threats? If true, wouldn't that be all over the news?
I suspect they are inventing things again to make poor widdle Sarah look like a victim.

20. If threats were reported, they will be on the public record
my feeling is that the so-called threats are a complete fabrication.

Truth or Dare Sarah.

22. Does one call the FBI when they receive death threats, or just the local law enforcement?
Does her half term qualify her for special treatment? She is just a private citizen after all. I'm sure that if it was me, and I called the Feds, they would just tell me to call the sheriff.

2. I think the right has been thrown off course... they lost one of their most effective metaphors
The whole "hunt," "target," "reload" and "kill" rhetoric inciting people to go hunting and kill liberals (it not literally, well at least at the ballot box) is now totally kaput. It blew up in their faces, and that was one of the most effective tools they had to agitate and incite their base. Now they have to scramble to come up with something as effective. I think the right has been thrown into chaos by this tragedy, while the left has become more united. I don't see much bickering this week about Obama's constant pandering to the rich and the corporations. I suppose that will return in a few weeks, but for now, we all feel united by the tragedy. The right, though, is in crisis.

6. It kind of reminds me of when Princess Diana died
Nobody had the stomach for tabloid gossip for awhile....right now nobody's in the mood for nasty, self-serving political rhetoric, and that's all Sarah can do!

31. Very good point!
What ever will they run on in 2012? How will they debate the health care law that they want to repeal? How are they going to defend MORE guns?

The coming weeks should be very interesting.

And by the way - hey Bohner, where are the jobs?

41. Well the R's central strategy has always been one variation or other on the same theme:
The constant theme is:

There are bogeymen out there to GET you.
And we're the only ones who can protect you from them, so vote for us.
The other side is "soft on" that bogeyman.

The specific "bogeymen" changes per whatever is in fashion to be afraid of:

- Communists
- Socialists
- Terrorists
- Immigrants
- Gays/Lesbians
- Blacks
- Muslims
- Liberals
- Populists/Egalitarians
- Feminists
- Environmentalists
- Gun control advocates
- Abortion advocates
- Unions
- Tax raisers
- Rogue states
- Criminals
- Dictators (specify country)

They simply insert the current choice from the list above (or invent a new bogeyman) into the formula. The choice depends on the prevailing attitudes in the country at the moment. But the formula is always the same: There's something out there to fear! Be afraid! It's the (bogeyman) and it's out to get you! Only we can protect you from (bogeyman)! The other side (Democrats) not only won't protect you, they are actually allies of the (bogeyman)! The only way to calm your fear is to vote us into office!

Examples: the claim that JFK was "soft on communism;" Palin stating Obama "pals around with terrorists;" Lee Atwater successfully tied Michael Dukakis to Willie Horton and won the 1988 election for Bush on that point.

I'm sure by a year from now, the R's will have their plan in place, have the (bogeyman) selected and will work to incite fear of (bogeyman) and the concept that they are the only ones who can protect you from them. That's how they always do it, so that's how they will do it next time.

It's so obvious. Why else use all that huge font and repetition? He's trying damn hard to convince them (and probably himself as well) that what he said is true. It's pitiful, really.

Not simply over 100 degrees. It's mostly water. Go back to elementary school and learn that.
