4. Oops, sorry!
That one came from a slide show -- I didn't notice it wasn't signed.

It's Jeff Danziger.

12. Some of the tea batter/right-wing responses to the cartoon:

(I refuse to link to the websites. If you want links, I'll PM them to you. You can also just Google Jeff Danziger tea party responsible Tucson or JD tea party ultimately responsible.)

They are responding to the cartoon and to a communication one blogger had with Mr. Danziger.

Danziger has essentially said he views the tea party as ultimately responsible due to the "viciousness engendered" by the tea party and their constant messages/rhetoric. He also blames the media and Rush types.

Bloggers have called the cartoon troubling, irresponsible, explosive, based on no evidence or in reality, and the like. It's on FR with lots of posts and there are lots of posts on the various blogs it's posted on, all of which take a predictable tone and, speaking of not reality-based...the usual lack of insight, honest evaluation and irrational thinking abounds.

Ed to add: they're just generally infuriated by the cartoon and the accusation. And their fury is, as usual, directed at everyone but themselves and the constant right-wing violence drumbeat.
