THE GOLDEN RULE
Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them do Unto You.

Growing up how many times have we heard this? Those of us who participated in Kindergarten, heard it recited daily.

The so-called "loosening of Credit" has taken this to a new level.Big Banks, Investment Firms, and Big Insurance, have shown us what it is they will do to us. They will gamble our money, take theirs off the top for salaries and bonuses, lose the rest betting against us,ask us for more,we give it to them, they take theirs off the top in salaries and bonuses, and refuse to invest and promote hiring while sitting on a nice little nest egg of our Money!!!

Why are we literally begging them for loans???Why are we fighting with them to release our Money, that they have technically deemed theirs?? Why is poor ED Shultz going on his show railing at the Institutions of lending, practically begging them to help the little guy???Does he realize that they are pushing to do away with community investment??

Now that we know what it is they will do "Unto us" My question is....What will we do 'Unto Them"??????

4. And why is the federal reserve lending money to investment banks at 0%
Edited on Thu Dec-16-10 07:46 AM by geckosfeet
so the banks can turn around and buy government bonds and resell them for a cool percentage? This is the definition of an incestuous relationship. The American people then, are left holding the bag and required to make good on the bonds via taxes.

However, taxes are being reduced for those who are most able to pay and who benefit most from the free money from the fed activity. Meanwhile the middle class taxpayer will have his social security revoked because it cost's too much to fund. The middle class taxpayer will, instead of having their payroll taxes go to Social Security, will have their payroll taxes go to fund investment opportunities for companies that refuse to invest in people and jobs.

The disgusting truth about the social security canard is that the program IS FULLY FUNDED through payroll taxes. Our elected representatives have decided to 'borrow' the money and hand it out to... fund other activities and now they want to renege on the loan. (But don't you dare walk away from your hopelessly underwater mortgage.)

This whole thing stinks. It stinks bad.

6. It smells for sure
But the American people cowering to these self-indulgent corporate bullies, smells worse. My question is to provoke thought. If there has been no new job creation, and they are outsourcing as soon as the private sector starts showing signs of slight recovery, they flip the script, like Yahoo's little lay off!!!! They are still practicing what they preach right in our Faces. So when they say anything about marching in lock step, is it the American people who are really the foot soldiers???

5. Our taxes are literally being used against us.
Edited on Thu Dec-16-10 07:49 AM by lunatica
I've gone back and forth between rage and despair over this exact thing. The fact that it's our money being used to make the wealthy corporations rich while they act as if they're the only ones who are entitled to it. They deny loaning our money to us even if they'll get interest paid on it.

In essence they're using my mortgage money to refuse to help me pay my mortgage. It's a gut wrencher.

10. Any
suggestions??? This should not be something that causes stress.Begging for your own Money. Money that most people have put into the economy for years. Since they were children. Yes Children. When you got that first allowance and you were able to control your purchase, you were now a contributing member to the economy. I mean people who oppose unemployment really get with my nerves. A lot of the people who are unemployed have paid into the system since they were teenagers. They have worked in one form or the other in various jobs. All of the while paying into the unemployment insurance. So when they needed an extended hand it would be there for just a time as this or when they became unemployed. Someone who has worked thirty years of their life and find themselves now unemployed and too young for retirement benefits, see the question"How long do you continue giving unemployment benefits"??? When really the question should have been turned on Republicans is "How long have Americans paid into this system?

14. 'What will we do 'Unto Them"??????'
....why don't start by creating the Bank of the United States? A profitless institution, managed by the federal government, to provide everyday, no-fills, no-nonsense, banking to main-street.

....why do we permit ourselves, our livelihoods and well-being, to be held hostage by the gambling banksters and the wall street casinos?
