Media Whitewash on Cheney War Crimes Palpable as Whistleblowers Cry Foul
http://www.opednews.com/articles/Media-Whitewash-on-Cheney-by-Gustav-Wynn-110912-791.html

When I saw Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson interviewed by Lawrence O'Donnell as guest host on Keith Olbermann's MSNBC show Countdown in March 2010, I thought the whitewash might be over. Wilkerson was the first invited guest when Cenk Uyger launched his own MSNBC show in February 2011 to elaborate on how he and his boss, Secretary of State Colin Powell were manipulated by Dick Cheney and George Tenet, and I imagined it was all going to bust open.

But no one farther up the media food chain has followed up on numerous Bush administration insiders decrying the Iraq war's illegality, even when Colin Powell claimed he was manipulated and demanded action. Criminal investigations should kick in under the Legislative mandate to enforce US law and treaties when the Executive and DOJ proves impotent. Ironically one of the largest crimes on the table could be lying to Congress, but they remain at bay thanks to strong media cover.

One smoking gun was found in a "black site", itself prohibited by US law and military tradition, "offshored" and outsourced to Egyptian hands. It became the crucial ending point in Colin Powell's career, a kernel of information that informed a crucial TV speech promising Iraq had links to the 9/11 terror operation meant to bleed America dry economically.

The news or "news interview" media outlets who are part of this whitewash surely have interesting reasons for aiding wrongdoing at the highest level of US government, abandoning their FCC-granted obligation to serve the public good.

1. yea. there's the Hague getting stern with the Vatican & the Serbs - which is a very good thing -
yet not a whisper in 10 years, of prosecuting the mass murderers of the bush regime, for a million dead civilians.
in fact - just even more opportunities for the psychopaths Bush & Cheney to pontificate in public, flogging their views & books, over the corpses of dead Iraqis.

still, what's to be expected? there's that murdering old bastard Kissinger, with plenty of dead to his credit, walking around & even carrying out special missions for the Obama govt..

haven't yet seen a single modern US politician, or businessman, paying for their massive-scale crimes. just a few ground-level soldiers being hung out to dry, to keep up the absolute lie of the moral high ground - that's only believed by the same morons who think there's a god to forgive their nastiness, if they shut their eyes & believe hard enough.

2. The only way fascists can stay in power so long is the presence of a corrupt & complicit MSM
The national media is right-wing and has ALWAYS been right-wing. Never in the 20th Century has the national press failed to support conservatives or attack liberals. Wilson, FDR, Truman, JFK, Carter, Clinton and Obama were all the permanent targets of the national press.

Meanwhile, the Bushes literally get away with murder, years after year.
