Man arrested for bringing gun into Islamic school - "mental issues"

A Michigan man is behind bars after police say he walked into an Islamic school with a loaded gun.

The suspicious man was questioned for hours by Perrysburg Township police and the FBI. Police say the man has some mental issues. They also determined he had a license to carry a gun, but they say he broke the law when he came on school property with it.

Ylli Gocaj, 26, faced a judge Wednesday by video arraignment. Gocaj was arrested Tuesday after he walked into the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo with a loaded gun. Cherrefe Kadri, Islamic Center of Greater Toledo spokesperson, says, "I think he was just walking to shelter because he never brandished the gun."
