Hannah Bell made a good point here.

Does anyone think he's actually running in 2012 ?

1. your link doesn't work for me...
But, I don't think he is crazy enough to waste his chance on the Presidency with a run in 2012... He is looking to 2016.

2. I agree about the run in 2016
Over Christmas I was watching TV, and there was a short news clip with JEB in it. The some reporter in the crowd ask JEB if he was running in 2012 to which he replied an emphatic "no". Then a reporter out of the crowd asked "What about 2016". JEB smiled acknowledging that he heard the question, but he turned and walked into a group of people without answering.

3. I think he will run and might even win

He's rumored to be "the smart one"...or he may lay back & groom his son..

The Bushies are in love with "Heritage, Dynasty & Legacy", so the idea of having a Father, son & grandson would be the grand trifecta..the Holy Trinity of Presidential politics.. They have always had Kennedy-envy, and this would elevate them to the tippy-top.

and by the time the "little brown one" would be old enough to run, the Bushes would have had a little time to sweep the GW shit under the rug & nail the edges down securely..

4. Maybe if he grows a beard and changes his name to Bert Kowalski
and pretends he has no connection whatsoever with the Bush family, he might have a chance.

Otherwise, I think his idiot brother ruined any chance that he might have.

5. What, and give up five years of gravy from school "reform" and think-tank rubber chicken speeches?
Never.

Maybe in 2016.

6. We'd Know By Now...
The first primaries are a year away and anyone who wants to run better have the money machine up and running. Thanks to Citizens United, the cost of next year's Presidential election could top 1 BILLION dollars and that money doesn't show up overnight.

If he were serious, he'd be doing what his brother did...set up a massive campaign organization that would overwhelm the primaries...lock things up before the first votes in Iowa and New Hampshire are cast. This isn't the right time anyway. He sees what a mess his party is and how the teabaggers are going to lead the party to a train wreck in 2012. Also no matter how people here may think, President Obama remains popular and would be very tought to beat.

2016 is another story...

7. And he should be working hard to set up the Diebold election
theft for key States. Will be easier for him without hanging chads and butterfly ballots.
