http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2011/01/a-gabrielle-giffords-and-jared-lee-loughner-update.html

<snip>Loughner has also proven eminently Googleable: minutes after he was identified as the alleged shooter, reporters located his MySpace page (later scrubbed from the Internet) and his YouTube channel, both of which were fittingly disturbing. As Politico‘s Carrie Budoff Brown reported, Loughner’s anti-government videos share an ideology with right-wing conspiracy-theorist David Wynn Miller. Miller told Brown that he does not know Loughner.

Who would have the authority to order something like that to be done? Caches and all? Anyone know? How would someone go about doing that? Could some local yokel police agency order something like this? Any ideas?

Here is the face of Republicon propaganda pimpery as it continues to militate and propagandize against all that is good, honest, decent and honorable about America.

6. Talked to a tech person about this issue
it seems that a request by the Feds usually results in an automatic "scrubbing" - even though devoted data miners can retrieve snippets from the memory hole.

The fear is for copycats and an increase in fans of repugnant sites attractive to the assailant (alleged).

9. Don't know if this is relevant
But in October of 2008, Jared Loughner called the Sheriffs Department to report his identity had been stolen after Googling his name.
