Perry remains GOP front-runner, Quinnipiac poll shows

Yet another poll has Rick Perry out front in the GOP presidential race, Politico reports.

Quinnipiac University released a poll Wednesday morning that shows the Texas governor with a 24 percent to 18 percent lead against Mitt Romney. Sarah Palin follows with 11 percent, Michele Bachmann with 10 percent and Ron Paul with nine percent.

The poll, which surveyed voters nationwide from Aug. 16-27, shows very little difference between Perry and Romney in a match-up against President Barack Obama. Romney ties Obama at 45 percent. Perry trails the president, 42 percent to 45 percent.
