. . . us a history of his repubican bona fides? Why was it necessary for Carney to let us know that he was appointed by Fathead Bush and reappointed by Crist? How does that help is understand the hurricane activities undertaken by FEMA?

All I can see it doing is try to needlessly remind repubicans how centristy the administration is.

Yeah, small issue. Except it hits like a mallet when you hear it. It is jarring.

By the way, I think the storm preparations and responses, all up and down the east coast, was commendable at all levels and among those of all political persuasion.

edit to change "easy coast" to "east coast"

1. Carney was pointing that out because RWers have been bashing FEMA (and by proxy, Fugate)

It points out the hypocrisy of the bashers.

3. Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Michelle Bachmann... the usual suspects

Especially Paul and Perry, though.

Paul called for FEMA to be eliminated.

5. "Paul called for FEMA to be eliminated."
That's asinine and unpopular on its face.

Perry, Bachmann, and Paul. All that group needs in Palin and they're ready for a trip with the net bearing, white coated guards.

7. Rep. Hal Rogers (KY) is blaming Obama for FEMA running out of money
FEMA does not have enough money to take care of all the disasters that
have plagued this country this year
And he says that Obama should have known that FEMA needed more money

I find that really funny because this guy is Chairman of the Appropriations committee
he controls the purse strings.........and
the republicans want to cut everything
because government is a big waste
and he has been in office since 1981 - 30 years
