and Vermont per CNN.

If you hear sirens... you know what to do.

It was hype (tm)... for clarity sake :sarcasm:

Update on some of them... (I hate the google hard to find this now for some odd reason)

4. Yeah, just a little old storm. So many people just didn't seem to understand the
massive amounts of water it was moving. That's often what does the damage. Winds are bad, but often massive amounts of water moving is the real danger.

9. Yep...
By late Sunday, at least 19 deaths in six states were blamed on Irene since she made landfall early Saturday. Officials warned that the heavy rain dumped along the 1,200-kilometre Atlantic coast was swelling rivers, breaking dams and threatening flash floods over the coming days.

12. They Are Also Facing Tough Decisions On Some Dams...
The heavy rains have significantly increased water levels behind GMP’s dams, reaching levels that are potentially dangerous. At our Marshfield dam, record water levels are approaching the top of the dam. Because it is an earthen dam, water cannot be allowed to flow over its top.

We are prepared to take emergency measures to protect the integrity of the dam. If necessary, the flow of water through the dam will be increased, which will result in greater flows of water all along the Winooski River. This action may be unavoidable in order to protect public safety and the integrity of the dam. However, if rains continue to abate and the rising of water levels slow, this action may not be necessary.
